Challenges
The Diagnosis
- In July, 2008, Ben had a Microarray Analysis made on his DNA. It proved he has a microdeletion on 17q21.31.
- At this point in time, we don't know if he has just the 17q21.31 Microdeletion Syndrome alone, or if he also has FG Syndrome.
- The micro-rarray analysis determines he has this deletion, but doesn't explain all of his anomalies.
- His behaviors and pedigree fit perfectly with the FG Syndrome.
- More will be learned about each syndrome as research continues!
